Oh. boy. Three days to go...hang in there, girl.
Nurses are the ones who practice constant contact with the patients, so sometimes I believe they are more in tune to what is happening---on a human level---than even the most brilliant doctors. It sounds like you have an excellent surgeon, so that's a blessing.
"Thank you for the kind words and the prayers, hopefully by Thursday Ill be bugging everyone on free republic again (and until Wed.) Cant wait for the return of The Walking Dead!"
Less than month to go! A day without Daryl Dixon is no day at all! ;)
Looking forward to hearing your updates. If I'm scarce the next couple of days, it's because we're having ISP problems and are waiting to get them fixed.
I have the internal stitches and than the glue stuff on the 5 incisions. My daughter wanted to see and then flipped out!
The stabbing pains are gone so I think that issue has been addressed. And the 4mm lesion on my kidney— he doesn't think it's cancerous and could Just be part of my anatomy and we'll just keep an eye on it. But if it were cancerous he said getting an ulcer and hernia could have saved my life because usually people don't know they have kidney lesions until they're huge and the cancer has advanced.
So I just need to rest up and heal. I swear I'm so swollen you'd think I was 7 months pregnant if you ran into me! The surgeon was excellent and nurses very nice. I didn't even spend the night because I convinced them I'd get a lot more healing rest at home, which was true. They let me go at 9:00pm from a morning surgery.
I can't help but think if I hadn't had the insurance I have that pays 100% and went to the ER twice and said something has to be done NOW I'd still be lingering in pain for months. As it was they had me scheduled just to see the surgeon on the 23rd and I said that wasn't acceptable! So now the 23rd is my follow up. When Obamacare kicks in fully, I hope I stay healthy for a long time! Thanks to everyone that had a kind word and a prayer, esp. CatherineofAragon!
