because the GOP is too cowardly to phrase his liberty-killing control obsession in these words and keep repeating it constantly
So he’s drawn another Red Line, eh? (Doesn’t seem capable of learning from his experiences)
Two people are framing things the right way: Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin. Why can’t they be on a ticket together?
Because it’s his only accomplishment.
That and reducing sentences for cocaine possession.
That’s right, Ted, throw it right back at them!!!
Because destroying the private health insurance industry and installing a “single payer” health care system is to be his legacy
Why? So the government can control the masses forever. Kill off the undesirables....which will be us mostly.
re: “Why is President Obama threatening to shut down govt to shove Obamacare down Americans’ throats?”
Is this a trick question? He already shoved it down our throats back in 2010, why not do it again?
Take it to the Girly President, Ted!
Keep the heat on.
despot Odungo
The NWO order needs obozo care to further their agenda of absolute control. The Bushs are one family that is behind the NWO and Jebby Bush has spoken publicly today against the congress defunding it. I’m afraid the folks behind the NWO will have their way unless they are exposed personally and then jailed or exterminated and their stolen fortunes returned to the people.
I posted this as my message on face book hours ago. Blame 0bama plain and simple and don’t back down!!
Because he can
But ObamaCare is GOOD.
The bill we had to pass before we could read it is so GOOD that it includes fines for those who don’t buy ObamaCare, so GOOD that it had to be voted on at night on a weekend to dodge the news cycle, and so GOOD that it is worth shutting down the entire federal government to compel the American people to accept ObamaCare.
Somehow, I’m not convinced that working Americans will view a government shutdown with as much alarm as Obama imagines, especially if it includes repealing ObamaCare as a bonus.
Simple answer is that they ran a system more comparable to the national socialism in which he so fervently believed.
Folks, please note that one of the very few powers that the states have delegated to Congress, via the Constitution, to regulate an aspect of commerce within a state’s borders is the control of mail services as evidenced by the Constitution’s Clause 7 of Section 8 of Article I. So the idea of a shutdown federal government that politicians in DC are now brandishing as a threat is actually arguably close to what the Founding States had envisioned as a normal, peacetime mail delivery day for the federal government anyway, the states uniquely having the 10th Amendment power to regulate, tax and spend for all other “government” services that citizens have been indoctrinated to expect from the feds.
In other words, the idea of shutting down the federal government should arguably be synonymous with the temporary disruption of mail services and little more imo. (Yes, this last statement is admittedly oversimplified because of Congress’s Commerce Clause powers.)
Noting that I will support Cruz for president if Obama guard dog Fx News nominates Cruz for Republican candidate, and also noting that federal government services cannot be shut down at this time without creating major problems, it disturbs me to see Constitution expert Cruz also playing the federal government shutdown game merely as a threat instead of using the situation as an opportunity to teach citizens about the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.
