Yeah, I felt the same way about the firefight, but at this point the writers have a lot of ground to cover. It was still a good episode. Much better than 5x12. To me that was the worst episode of the entire series.

I still think that if they were going to kill off Gomey and Hank it would have happened this episode, and they'd at lease be wounded by now.

I missed the episode from 09/01/2013. It was Labor day weekend and I was out of town. So it was BONUS to see that episode and this week’s current episode on Sunday night.

Yeah, the firefight was a little hokie, but the real letdown for me was Walt’s reaction to Jessie’s phone call that he was burning the money. So Walt goes nuts - screaming confessions into the phone while he’s driving 90 MPH out to the desert where the money is hid. That was not typical of Walt to lose control of himself like that.

But I do like the turn of events for Hank. The whole series we see Hank as some donut munching cop stumbling and bumbling though his job. Remember when he saw Tuco’s head (I think it was Tuco) on that turtle? Hank barfed. And for the most part - we saw Hank as marginally efficient.

Now? Now I love the way Hank is using Jesse and Huell in that safe house and the different ways he is manipulating Walt in order to arrest him.
