To calm city in preparation for Zimmerman verdict.
Cops are going door-to-door in an American city again, only this time at least they are knocking on doors instead of knocking them down.
The most recent example of a police-state presence is developing even now in Sanford, Fla., where neighborhood-watch participant George Zimmerman is on trial for murder for the death of teenager Trayvon Martin.
Police say they fear the backlash from the community which could develop at the point the jury verdict is delivered. Los Angeles had days of rioting when the Rodney King verdict came down.
So Sanford Police Chief Cecile Smith confirmed officers are going door-to-door talking to people.
“Our worst fear is that we’d have people from outside the community coming in and stirring up … violence,” he said.

As in the Rodney King riots, the protestors only destroyed their own neighborhoods, same will happen if riots occur... alas Eric Holder will step in and railroad Zimmerman same s King trial...
I have a friend in Collierville & I go to the Collierville outdoor mall when I need to. Good restaurants around too! SO many parents in the district where I teach try & send their kids to the DeSoto schools. They have made it much harder to cheat because they are becoming overwhelmed.
Last summer we were driving back from the airport & we drove by Graceland & that area was so scuzzy, I had no idea! We took the kids to the Children’s Museum in Memphis in May & that whole stretch of Lamar is beyond depressing.
As long as you remain below the state line it is pretty nice, as are certain parts of Memphis.
This will not play out like Rodney King. It will not be a situation where white folks can “hunker down” and protect themselves. If Zimmerman is rightly found not guilty what you will see will be a national increase in WhiteGirlBleedAlot type of “random yout attacks”.
Everyone will be expected to carry on and go to work, the super market, etc. This calls for being willing to carry and some places do not allow that. That’s where you will see the attacks.
