That explains a lot. Was it of the Jesse Ventura variety where they film the back of a mall and claim it is a secret governemnt facility/concentration camp, or was it of the Alex Jones type where they take some obscure military document on how to deal with refugees in some third world hell hole, pick a few sentences out to make it appear it is plans for camps here? (or funnier still, when they bring in Denver Airport). Your second idea would explain it very nicely. But as I said earlier, these days I can't be entirely sure of the amount of humor involved.

I used to find conspiracy threads humorous, but I stopped for the opposite reason. Some of the Sandy Hook threads were off the hook. And some of the posters on them were quite literally unhinged.

They sure do have a lot of faith in the Obama administration to be able to pull off such conspiracies.
Personally, I don’t think they could conspire together to order a pizza without screwing it up.

Personally, I dont think they could conspire together to order a pizza without screwing it up. You know, that's a very good point, and reassuring.
I think Obama's "Civilian National Defense Force" could be defeated by a few open-air drug markets and the strategic positioning of pornographic magazines near their mobilization points.

I’ve had several people in the ‘in’ in DC tell me that politicians love to have conspiracy theories pushed because they want people to think they are capable and willing of such things. They don’t have to do anything but they can keep the more engaged people both fearful and ‘off the radar’. It doesn’t cost anything to make up a conspiracy theory, it is just a story. There are a lot of willing accomplices willing to play along and push them and enough people willing to set aside rationality and run with them.

It had to be removed, to be replaced by a newer, better one.

Jim Rob took it down so he can make a country song out of it. . . . . .Well, then, I would wager that the thread had something to do with Thurifer's dog being shot, his wife leaving him and his pickup truck dying.
