Sounds to me that Geoff Irvine of the Lobster council blamed warn spring temperatures and the author of the article, Francine Kopun, turned that into Global Warming. Which, in and of itself, says a lot.

There's actually a glut of the "soft-shelled", or shedder, lobsters on the market. They don't travel as well as the "hard-shelled" versions, so these cheaper prices are fairly localized.

While I was up in Maine last month, I read a fair bit about this (I also ate my share of lobster). Needless to say, it has about as much to do with global warming as you'd expect.
