We enjoy a nice, low-maintenance Rottweiler. Food and outside in the morning and afternoon. Sleeps on the couch for the other 23 1/2 hours. A few baths a year and a trip to the vet. Nice.

Rotties are nice. We have a Beagle who sleeps 22 out of 24 hours per day in his petbed. Rising only to take a walk, eat a meal or beg for treats. Our Chihuahua is a love sponge and also easy to deal with.

how is your Rottie around people and other dogs? A friend of mine had two females (sisters) and while other people were terrified of them, these were two of the most loving dogs around — even to small, yapping doggies...
