I'm asking all Christian Freepers for prayer for me and my family. All of my children are adopted and one child has Reactive Attachement disorder. We are having a horrible time with this child and things are very desperate. Also, I'm very discouraged and very far away from God at this time. Please pray that God will restore me to himself and that he will provide assistance with our daughter.

PLEASE contact Dr Ronald Federici for advice, he is a kind and generous man who has helped thousands of families. He has helped me with my children, although neither has RAD, Thank God.
One of the first things you need to hear is that you are not alone nor in a unique situation, and there are ways to diagnose your child definitively, and then find options.

hang in there. there was a child at our church, very bad shape, similar to what you describe. Dedicated parents devoted themselves to the child and this boy is now away at college, practically brand new. The kids do gradually get unkinked, it takes time and lots of patience.
I have a son who is mentally impaired, ADHD, defient issues. He is now 30yrs old. But it was so hard when he was little. We found a RESPITE center, that would provide a care giver for him for a few hours so we could get away.
I know how emotionally draining it can be at times; and you feel so lost. Please ‘shout to the mountain’ in your car, outside, etc. Shouting to the Moutain is a verbal call to God and the Holy Spirit. I can’t tell you how many times the Holy Spirit has calmed me when I was so tired, desperate, exhausted. I gave him to the Lord and he has seen our son come through it all as well as us. Tell Satan to “get thee behind thee in the name of Jesus” when you feel down and thoughts are rumerating.
