Her song is Al Green's "Let's Stay Together".
Of course Idol finds a way to integrate the clip of Obama singing this song with Elise's rehearsal footage.
Nauseating, but it's better than having Zero himself on the show, as Lythgoe wanted.
Very good choice for Elise. Nice raspy quality to her voice.

Born in 1994, he settles for Luther Vandross' "Endless Love". It wasn't his first choice. Jimmy Iovine and will.i.am (yes he's back again) insist he try the Vandross song.
This is dull. He sings it okay, but it's just slightly more interesting than elevator music.
J-Lo: Hi, baby. Here's the thing, you can sing anything. And you sang that beautifully. Jimmy steered you wrong. I just didn't feel it was the right song for you. I hope America still sees past all that.
Steven: I love you as an artist. I also don't think it was the right choice. You'll find your voice.
Randy: Boring and very safe for you. (Also agrees that Iovine blew that song choice).
