NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) House Majority Leader Gerald McCormick said Thursday that he will postpone and possibly disband a special firearms task force following the arrest of its chairman, Rep. Curry Todd, on drunken driving and gun charges.
...
Todd, R-Collierville and the chairman of the House State and Local Government Committee, was a chief architect of a controversial new state law that allows people with handgun carry permits to be armed in bars and restaurants that serve alcohol.

They usually bluster that they don’t need one.
I respond back with, “Then why do I need a license for guns under the Second?”

Technically speaking, he did not 'drink and drive' because no open container was present in the car at the time of his arrest.
If you want to be accurate, he drank, then drove.

Absoulutely... If even one person craps their pants, why, we ALL gotta wear diapers.
This type of “thinking” is practically ingrained and rarely even cause for comment.
Another Freeper awhile ago pointed out that you don’t need a license for your First Amendment rights.
Feel free to steal it!
