Alas, being a govt building, no political campaign speech would be allowed. But anywhere that references the Constitution will be Sarah's official jumping off point for 2012.

Ok freepers, the gaunlet has been layed down.

Where else can she stand behind that has a reference to the Consitution that could be a launching point and not violate the govt building no political speech rule?

I remember when I was in high school, in of all places San Jose CA back in the 70’s how the teachers always had some form of competition to weed out leaders and followers.

Now schools back then were a bit different and they were constantly trying to elevate those with exceptional skills and also relegating the lesser skilled students to simple monotonous duties.

But I had a different agenda, first off I had no respect for people trying to herd or handle me, I had no respect for those that were nothing but remora fish just hanging on to my side hoping for scraps and attention, yes I was exceptional, I was actually at the top of the class.

But still I felt like I was just another steer in the herd and we were all in a corral for some, so I jumped the fence and became the free range steer, nobody can herd me, nobody will ever eat me or wear my skin.
I skipped out on my first two years in high school but aced all the tests, much to the dismay of the herders who thought I should be in college, and I never saw the last two years of high school either.

I simply refused to play the game, I could win anytime at almost anything, I was actually bored with low level competition, I traveled seeking knowledge of the world instead.

I believe Sarah Palin is doing all the right moves, and I am not at all concerned that she refuses to play the MSM games, or the political school game of who will become the top in the class.

I think Sarah Palin is a lot like I am, and I sure wouldn’t want to compete with such weak and flawed competitors so far as I have seen.

I predict she'll announce in Alaska and run a pretty good campaign. She'll be in the mix for the nomination

But, then someone will sue her and she'll quit half way through the primaries.

You people need to get a grip

I would love to see Palin run.....but she isn't.....it's pretty obvious to those of us looking and can be objective and not fall into the cult of personality thingy

I’m Palins problem - 50 yr old white conservative voter. I like her but she’s not presidential material...should have stuck it out as governor no matter how tough it got....no quitters...

So many problems with your opinion....but perhaps some questions would assist?

Should Nixon have quit? Anthony Weiner? Wu? When is "quitting" justified; under what conditions? What is the "tipping point" where quitting becomes the "lesser of two evils", so to speak?

Is quitting allowed in personal life? If not, then there would be no such thing as divorce, would there? No such thing as "job changers", "school dropouts", etc. Or is "quitting" justified in some cases? What are those cases (if any) and how does one make the decision to "quit"??

What....exactly....in your opinion, is "presidential material"? Was Johnson "presidential material"? Carter? clintoon? the stain? Of what is your "presidential" material woven? Where does Palin fall short?

Just curious, you understand....one conservative voter to another....

I trust her judgement. After reviewing the early days of the 08 campaign, and watching those polls, she's be smart to stay out now. And you can bet she and her team have been studying successes and failures in the past 20 years. Of course, she is a student of Reagan, so that is where most clues come from.

Said it before, and I'll repeat it here....

Mrs. Palin remains mostly quiet…..she is waiting....she (and only she) knows her battle plan....she (and only she) knows her timing.....she is learning....studying the opposition....guarding the "cubs"....waiting quietly with an occasional "roar"…..reconnoitering the challengers and enemies from within and without.....studying weaknesses....building and conserving her own strength....endlessly practicing....reading...honing her skills.....waiting.....waiting…

This war has not yet begun. What has been seen of the other candidates to date has been nothing but minor and irrelevant skirmishing. Candidates in...candidates out....candidates winning....candidates losing.....candidates saying silly things.....candidates saying cogent, insightful things….candidates being personally attacked by the msm (including fox) and the largely irrelevant, faux intelligencia (rove, krauthammer, morris, olberman, matthews, etc) ….candidates being dismissed by the msm…..candidates attacking one another instead of concentrating on the real issues and enemy.

It is a very, very long way yet to November, 2012. There is no need to rush. Keeping her own council Mrs. Palin smiles knowingly, and trusting in the loyalty of her supporters, remembers the words of Napolean, "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake." and General Patton, "Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like shit through a tin horn!"

When she arrives, you can count on total war. She has learned how to fight. She has been through this before….all the way to election day. She does not spin; she attacks, all the time….constantly; she does not back away from principles; she means exactly what she says...and says exactly what she means. She has built and continues to add to her base of support because of who and what she is....not because of who or what she panders to.

Patience.....patience....

Wait for it!

And keep the faith....

Personally, I think she will declare on October 22, the 165th anniversary.

"The title of the thread gives you a pretty dang big clue about the topic and yet here you are."

Yes, I'd have to admit that it is very strange that I am free to render my particular opinion on any given subject. Is this a great country or what!

How about a little logic here on FR..which is a rare commodity I agree! Anyway why would she run...she’s making more money than she ever dreamed possible, in the millions per year, and her unfavorable’s of being elected President are off the charts....and in her current position she gets ton’s of press letting folks wonder what she is going to do all the while watching her bank account grow, grow and then grow some more. She is a smart little gal....she knows better than to stop the cash register ringing by announcing her candidacy. IMHO

LOL! I agree that both Perry or Romney are total snoozers and reflect everything in the way of the same old politics. Neither is edgy or willing to 'lead' in a bold new way that will reverse the current course of this country.

Perry may end up surprising me, but we have to remember that if he were to get the nomination, he'd have to moderate his message and run toward the middle in the final leg of the race.

Thanks for the smile this morning.

About your ‘visions’. Do they ever talk to you? Do you hear ‘voices’ even if there is no vision? Are people out to get you? Seek professional help though in your case it might be too late.

LOLOL!

Then you must have LOVED our past supposedly (according to the LEFT) "genius"-level Presidents:

Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Woodrow Wilson...

How well did THEY work out?

Seriously, though -- how smart can YOU be...
...if you believe the MSM spin about Governor Palin being stupid?
