T. LOUIS, MO (KTVI - FOX2now.com) As we lost count of how many consecutive days the temperature has eclipsed 100, at least one St. Louis area man has taken self cooling to a new level. Many motorcyclists talk about their love of the wind blowing through their hair. It seems Jacob Southard prefers the wind blowing through almost everything. Hes been turning heads on Interstate 70, riding his motorcycle while wearing nothing but a mankini like the one from the Borat movie.
Asked what in the world hes doing, Southard, clad in nothing but a neon green singlet that covers his crotch and little else, replies with a laugh.
Beatin the heat! he says with a grin.

Or should I say:
This thread is totally worthless. Pictures make it worse.
air conditioners are a handy dandy thingamajig. Someone should show the dood one.
You are, of course, always free to not click..... ;)
Won’t work, and the reason should be pretty obvious. So long as the surrounding air is even one degree below human body temperature, the wind cools, with a fan or on a motorcycle either one but, when temperatures go OVER that 98.6 mark as they have over most of the country for the last couple of days, then wind is just blowing air which is hotter than YOU are over you faster and if anything, it will make you hotter and not cooler.
Once he gets road rash, hell wish he had sunburn instead.
Ya beat me to it. LOL
Attention whore.
I wonder why when its 95 outside, it doesnt feel cool, since its actually cooler than your body temp?
I’m just a girl, but I would think that road rash on your winkie would be on the “Things NOT to do” list.
Wouldn’t his, uh, cheeks get heat-stuck to the seat?
Was hast bin downloaden, kan nicht bin undownloaden!

When it got ridiculously hot, I'd swap my leather jacket for a denim one. But I always rode with heavy jeans, boots, jacket, and gloves, no matter how hot it got (I had these really amazing Held summer gloves I got from Helimot a few years back - very cool, but still completely protective). Coolmax shirts helped a lot.

He’s going to get dehydrated and end up in the hospital.
Assuming there is no such thing as sweat or the cooling effect of its evaporation, which accelerates and becomes more efficient in the wind.
"I'd rather sweat than bleed."
naked doesn’t beat the heat....a light weight cotton loose fitting dress helps and keeps sunburn out of the question..
I guess he doesn’t plan on having any kids
All I could say is that riding with clothes on, I’ve noticed the wind stops cooling around 99F. I’ve never tried riding naked....
While browsing in a local sporting goods store, I found a "Chilly Pad" Cooling Towel made by Frogg Toggs. Knowing how good their light weight rain suits are, I decided to give it a try.
The thing is really quite amazing. Simply wet the towel (it's kind of like one of those artificial chamois), and place it around the neck like a scarf. For some reason, the wet material doesn't "warm up" like a wet bandanna does. Even while sitting still, the thing feels very cool.
I paid $12.95 for mine, and it was worth every penny. Since I am sure this will get a "Motorcycle Hooligan" ping, I thought I would pass on the tip.
Oh yeah, just in case someone STILL wants to dress like this guy... the "Chilly Pad" is also offered in lime green. (Anyone who would dress like that, would probably be worried that their "outfit" might clash, if you know what I mean.)
Here in the low desert, all the Mexican outdoor laborers dress like it's December in Minnesota....you never even see 'em in short sleeves.
