The story of our enslavement
Above top secret web site ^ | unknown | unknown

The video clip below presents a very interesting take on human history. The creator of this clip posits human social organization in general as logous to farming, and specifically livestock farming. On a farm, humans control animals. On a "human farm," humans control other humans. And we all live on "human farms."

The ultimate natural resource, states the film, is not agricultural or mineral. Rather, it is control over other humans.

An animal can feel momentary pain or fear, but it lacks the brain capacity to be coerced with the fear of future pain. A man can take an egg each day from a chicken, but he can get many, many more eggs by threatening the lives and wellbeing of other humans, such that they regularly supply the stronger man with chicken eggs. Thus, "human farming" is vastly more efficient than pure animal husbandry.

Thus, posits the film, every nation, every society, and every culture is in reality nothing more than a vast "human farm." The story of history is the tale of increasing efficiency of such human farming. Human freedom and comfort, the theory goes, seems to have increased over history, but this only makes you a less discouraged, more efficient, and more self-policing piece of "livestock" that generates ever-vaster wealth for the owners and controllers of the human farms.

Very interesting perspective, Gives one something to think about.....

A concept that is thought provoking and very close to reality. A story that takes us from the first kingdoms to today's politics.

Just reading the clip, not clicking the link ... it kind of sounds like the hell of atheism, to me.

Close but it involves all societies (I repeat - ALL).

Try it. It will definitely scare you. They offer a solution - "Leave the Farm" - but where does one go when the whole world is nothing but a bunch of different farms?

On a "human farm," humans control other humans. And we all live on "human farms."

This is a view that expresses the economic essence of fascism, and of the relationship between business and government in a fascist state, but it is not a view compatible with a free society and a just government such as capitalism and limited government

I read this book once, “Under the Yoke” by R.M. Stirling, a kind of alternate history in which South Africans, the Draka conquer all of Europe and parts of Asia. One of the leaders talking to a serf explained “You farm the earth. We farm you”.

To escape, you will need to retreat to the most rural place you can find and isolate yourself from the rest of humanity because humans are genetically programed to seek control over their environment and other humans.

You should watch the video. There is no freedom left. We are just the most pampered animals on the farm so we can pretend we are free better than most. I’ve been preaching this for a couple years but most people can’t see past the bogus left vs right paradigm.

- and we live in a "free society with limited government"?
Have you been paying attention to what is (has) happened to our freedoms?
Even capitalism is a method of farming - the best, but still human farming.

You are SO correct.
We have the best farm to live on (but) it is still farming (and) the alternative of living under a rock in the middle of nowhere is really not an alternative.

I appreciate the link.

I'll need some time to digest this guy, but I think I like him.

Admittedly scarey.

You can abandon the consumer culture and gain a lot of freedom. But is it worth the cost? All our modern conveniences and luxuries are pretty nice when all we have to do is pretend we don’t notice the chain around our ankles.

We’re like prized bird dogs on the farm. We lay around most of the time and have it good compared to the livestock and other working animals. But, when the farmer says “fetch” you better fetch and release on command or you are getting a bullet in the skull because no one wants a bird dog that thinks that it’s his bird.

“If human beings believe that they are free, then they will produce much more for their farmers. The best way to maintain this illusion of freedom is to put some of the livestock on the payroll of the farmer. Those cows that become dependent on the existing hierarchy will then attack any other cows who point out the violence, hypocrisy and immorality of human ownership.”

Brace yourself, those cows will be here, if not already.

Well Ma always said I was genetically defective. :-)

But seriously...No thanks, Mr. Nietzsche. Sure, man was given dominion over the natural world when he was created, and told to subdue it. But the desire to have dominion over and subdue other PEOPLE is fostered, selfish, and dishonorable.

You may be right about having to retreat in order to escape from those who want to rule over you. But that only speaks to the sorry state our formerly-free nation has been brought to.
