There is an annual contest at the University of Arkansas calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.

This year's term was: "Political Correctness."

The winner wrote:

This weekend was a "dig-out" weekend. I cleared a path with my snow thrower direct to where the propane tank will be located behind the shop. I also cleared behind the shop and on the side where the wall furnace is now located. Tomorrow, they will install the propane and some day this week, I will finally have constant heat out there!

My neighbor rented that tractor with a front-end loader and was clearing his driveway and pushing snow into piles. He came over and cleared an access to my utility trailer and bulled a path for the Tundra to the bulkhead in back. Hopefully, some of Jack's friends will now help me move my table saw and work bench to the shop this coming weekend!

Did you read the story at NRO last weekend about the photo of Dixon, IL the day before Reagan was elected Nov. 1980?

It was a stormy day, but there was a break, and a shaft of sunshine came down to highlight the building where Reagan was born. A photographer happened to catch the moment.
