Spectacular find. Pre-Clovis.
We have to go all the way back to the end of the last major glaciation which is about 14,000 years ago. What we have here is someone who got lost in a cave during or toward the end of the Younger Dryas.
This is a very old skeleton, but there have got to be even older skeletons ~ although probably not in the NE due to the acidic nature of the soil ~ just gobbles the metals (iron, calcium) up.
This is a limestone cavern ~ which is the reason it was preserved.
I'd suggest that someone get busy and find a series of sealed caves somewhere in Southern Indiana ~ we know there were Clovis people in the region earlier because they left substantial numbers of points. But there are limestone caves in the South that are not flooded. Instead, they managed to get filled with sand. If there are skeletons anywhere, that'd be the place.
