I would add that yes, for most of us who really try to make committed marriages, the idea is completely foreign.
Two or more wrongs don’t make a right.
Problem is, we dodge the root of the infidelity problem. In my belief, a person who has premarital relations is often also the one who has a hard time being faithful to the spouse later. In addition, a person who sees in their own media a very sexual view of people has a hard time also trying to view them as people. When schools teach kids that they are out of control animals regarding their sexuality, mass distributing birth control to them, what do you expect?
It’s a messed up world, and honestly, the authorities have shoved many wrongs down all of our throats trying to make a right, but have failed miserably.
Oddly enough, I see a lot of similarities between certain fundamentalist Mormons and fundamentalist Islamic groups.
