Ahhh, I remember going to a matinee with friends when it opened - that was the 1st time I remember feeling that, well, feeling that males get from seeing females with very little clothing.
(It's been all down-hill from there).

Thanks for the link. I read the article, and Ms. Welch sounds very grounded and happy in her skin (softened by Oil of Olay!)
I think she is beautiful...but in our totally bizarro world, the photo you posted would have RW as ‘plus size’ model. Because she was not a size two.

Raquel Welch has made her peace with Loana, the scantily clad cave woman she played in the 1966 camp classic "One Million Years B.C." Our schools went down in quality ever since they stopped showing this in science class and started showing "An Inconventient Truth" instead.

My husband used to work in NYC for Sigma, (Times/Warner). He said Raquel Welch occasionally used to stop by there to choose her photos or something, she was a friend of the owner. She always said hello to him and talked for a few minutes with him, maybe because he was handsome and young, but he felt she was just very nice.
She was not tall, in fact he said she was very petite and surprisingly small. She would wear very unrevealing clothes and sunglasses.
He has always liked her since that time. Said she was not egotistical at all and very sweet.
So, thanks for being a nice person, besides being gorgeous, Raquel:)

Divorced four times? Just proves the old maxim: No matter how good she looks, somewhere, some guy is sick of her.
I would have to think getting sick of her would take a long time.

Welch, Ne Tejeda, from La Jolla (San Diego), was a weather girl in her early 20s on local TV. No idea she would "grow" into Raquel Welch. May have sent this privately in error.
