It is fascinating to wonder when the first human accidentally created metal from ore, or glass from silica.

I imagine the ancients saw that lightning fused sand, and then went about re-creating that with fire.

IMHO - I believe - if the world ended today - it would take several thousand years before homo sapiens could recreate what our early ancestors accomplished through observation and experimentation.

It is astonishing how early man domesticated animals, crops and developed materials for weapons,tools, shelter and clothing.

We are so vulnerable!
