Proving that I may, in fact, be the biggest geek on the planet (or at least FR)....

1. Notice the slightly darker top part on the phaser? That’s because the prop comes apart, with the small soap bar piece becoming a “Phaser 1”, the compact alternative to the more powerful (but conspicuous) “Phaser 2”.

2. Unless I miss my guess, that phaser pic is from the episode “Court Martial” in which Kirk is accused of killing Ben Finney (that’s Finney holding the phaser).

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go do some calculus and then write a love poem completely in ForTran.

Cool!! Years ago I saw Teddy Roosevlet’s gun collection on Long Island. He had a few huge “punt” guns - 1 or 2 gauge shotguns for shooting ducks. (Mounted on a small boat and fired at resting ducks!)

I’d like one of those chambered for .243 Remington, with a 4 Round Cylinder, and mounted with a laser sight.

I've had a soft-spot for the Logan's Run gun... Photobucket
I love how they looked when they fired, even though they didn't have a really great sound effect.

Actual firearm: the Gyrojet rocket launcher.

The Gyrojet ignited solid-fuelled rockets that streaked downrange in the general direction you were pointing it.

I’m partial to the plastic handgun crafted by John Malkovich in In the Line of Fire.

I’m with you on that one. Aliens was my favorite in the series and who wouldn’t want one of those bad boys?

But most of the time kids are always shooting themselves or trying to hold up liquor stores or something, and that sucks.

Oh barf!

I prefer to think of the homeowners protecting them selves taking out the home invaders.....

My favorite mythical gun was Josh Randall’s “Mares leg” which appeared to be a model 92 Winchester shortened front and back.

Now the gun would have been a normal gun if it fired 44-40 ammo but this one somehow fired around a dozen 45-70 rounds which is what was on his gun belt. Of course that short underbarrel mag could not have held more than one of those if that.

Still it was a neat looking gun and different from all the other 1873 Colt Peacemakers everyone else used.
