Most guys can use and cycle the drugs fairly safely, it’s the body builders and wrestlers who mostly get carried away, plus a lot of those guys are using lots of recreational drugs too.
There’s a psychological addiction too with the drugs, the feeling of power and being “big” is addictive. Feeling that you can rip trees out of the ground is a pretty powerful “high”. A lot of guys get body dsyphoria too, like reverse anorexic girls.
I think (purely speculation here) that Tiger really started to dig the results he was getting and put on too much muscle to the point guys like me were laughing at him trying to pretend he’s such a “hard worker”. He was tremendously skinny and wiry and always wore those shirts 10 times too big that didn’t show his body. Then he gets jacked and starts wearing these tight shirts. He heard the whispers, of that I have no doubt. He’s gone back and forth from being really thick to less thick.
HGH in small doses is a miracle drug for building lean muscle mass and lowering your body fat percentage. Get crazy with it and it will make your internal organs grow too. There’s danger in abusing all these drugs but the long term conclusions haven’t been totally drawn yet.
The stories about Tiger benching over 400 pounds didn’t help his cause either. Like the stories about guys bragging about their body fat percentage, it can only go so low naturally, the drugs make a big difference in body fat percentage. Body builders do CRAZY things to their body preparing for tournaments, totally dehydrating themselves, heart attacks, deaths, etc. A lot of those guys play russian roulette all the time, it’s a sick, sick “sport”.
