To: 2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten

My late, great Dobe, Baron, could be extremely loud — if he decided to bark. But, actually, like most Dobes (I am told), Baron really didn’t bark all that much. When on the attack, he usually just snarled.

I suppose mine would be the same. But when they are separated from their intended target by a barrier (a cage, the wall of a house) they can’t attack so barking is all they’ve got. When I’m riding in my Explorer with him in the cage in the back and he sees someone walking their dog (especially if we’re near his home base) his barking makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. And I’m used to him.
