Thousands of California homes and families are in the path of devastating fires. And so we pray for their safety and that of the firefighters.
I pray that it's nothing serious.

A quick perusal of the headlines informs me that the battle isn’t over, and that no new fronts have opened up. When do the RATS return to the sinking ship (the RAT government in Washington).
Toby.. I thought of you today as I was coming back from the lake & stopped at a farm that had produce & various products. It was NOT a road side stand but in a remote area a retail operation on the front of a farm with jellys, almond butter, meats, produce etc. Runny all over the place were chickens & in the cooler was ONE carton left of brown free range eggs. I did get it.. 3 dollars.. none of the things were “bargains” as such but all fresh & supporting local people which I think is important. Well, the are local for the area. about 20 miles east of my home.
The dogs wanted to get out & “play” with the chickens!
Keeping busy here with many things. Learning SLOWLY the photo program on Mac.. steep learning curve. I tried to import some pix from an external hard drive & it wanted to do about 45K pix.. I wanted about 50.. thought I was doing the 50 .. went to get wine, came back & saw it said on screen 32K pix still to copy.
The regime I am using seems to help my back. It is in no way back to form of my teen years but better & I can do more w/o distress.
Hoping to get to DC for the activities 911.. lots of things must fall into place for that to happen.
Match.com has been interesting.. a firefighter & vet are now at the top of list
By the way, I'm going to DC for the March on the 12th. I'll be with the Alabama group. Let me know if you'll be there.
I would vote for the eating out also. Trouble is your at home all the time, so you would like to get out and he n the other hand would probably like some ‘home cooked’ meals. So I guess compromise is called for, darn. Unfortunately in our ‘real world’ compromise is compromise. In the Dem world compromise is ‘do everything that ‘”I” want”. Enjoy your week. I hope that some day that situation will change for you.
On another note, how’s Maggie? Miss hearing about her.
She’s doing great. My neighbor’s great-granddaughter is staying with her after school, and I pay her to walk the dog every afternoon. (My knees have been acting up and she needs someone who will run with her.) It makes Maggie happy and Melissa earns a little money. Win-win.
On the minus side, however, she has learned how to use her nose to open my kitchen cabinets. So far she has purloined a box of crackers and a box of cereal. The crackers ended up all over the back yard, as I had the patio door open when she perpetrated the burglary. I did manage to save the cereal.
Now I have to get some heavy rubber bands to put on the doors to slow her down. LOL!
Dog training classes start in a week or so. I can’t wait to ask the trainer what to do about that!
What a naughty girl. Ha ha. We had a standard poodle once who ate a whole container of Nestle’s Quick. Because chocolate was really supposed to be bad for dogs, I expected him to be sick but he never was. He also embarrassed me by sneaking into a neighbors open garage where she had a huge pot of chili cooling for freezing. He ate the whole thing. Never got sick from that either. Why oh why do we love these imps so much when they are such a pain sometimes? I guess the times that they are not make it worth it.
Before I forget, Ha .... oh, never mind.

It’s three in the morning! My goodness. That’s just about gettin’ up time. Two thirds will be rolling out of bed soon.
I will pay “dearly” for the rest of day. Have a few seconds between the loading of pix. trying to catch up a little with the many pings/ emails backed up.
I wouldn’t be able to do it. I would be absolutely bonkers about 11:30 and unconcious by 1. LOl! I am a morning person.
