You are so right, Foxy!! Unfortunately too many people believe that a college degree automatically guarantees wisdom. Biggest myth around—I learned that very early in my long life. My friends marveled at the fact that a janitor had knowledge that highly-educated medical personnel did not. But they weren’t surprised. Their parents were all Italian immigrants who had minimal education but were extremely wise.
I have thought about writing my Alma Mater and asking for a refund of my tuition, since I, too, felt I was the victim of false advertising. No doubt they would say "caveat emptor." If I had learned what that meant, perhaps I could respond back! 8)
