In the end of life counseling session:

"Gee, granny, it costs so much to take care of your medical problems and won't do much good for you. Too bad it will burden the taxpayers so much and maybe increase taxes to care for your old carcass. Now which option will you choose?"

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

The poll is a trap.
CNN is hoping most will pick ‘Yes’ so that they can belittle them for being uninformed.

The end-of-life provision from its healthcare reform bill yesterday, I beleive.

Jerry Rivers (Geraldo Rivera) was on Fox-n-Friends this morning passionately talking about his father-in-law who died of prostate cancer a few months ago. He (the patient himself) chose to terminate treatment. But, Geraldo made the point that we need to, in essence, force the discussion onto the patient - supporting the statists plans to codify the discussion since most costs occur near the end of life. My wfe and I both blurted out "But that's the PATIENT'S CHOICE", not the government's "suggestion". Geraldo alluded to a panel to force the discussion, but if the panelists already have the bias toward NOT treating, logic tells us that the panelists will advocate termination of care due to the costs.

How else would you describe the panel (or set of politically-appointed bureaucrats) OTHER THAN a "death panel"? Form follows function - they will have NO objectivity and will advocate the cost-savings position of a quicker path to 'end of life' for their definition of the greater good.

My understanding is that the provision was in the Senate Finance bill, not the House bill (HR 3200) to which every one references when talking about “the health bill”.

The provision was removed yesterday from the Senate Finance bill.

Now some seem to be making political hay from the confusion of what is in which bill, or even going so far as to omit any reference to other health bills to make some others seem the fool.

NOW
"NO"
IS 64%.

THE DEPOPULATION JERKS

NEED TO KNOW HOW WE FEEL!!!!

They'll still be genocidal, murderous, traitorous jerks from hell . . . but at least we'll have stood up for right, life and the truth.

It might be a “panel” of ONE - many sections read “determined by the Secretary”. I don’t want to WAIT for ANY SECRETARY to tell me what health care is available to me and what isn’t.

Get rid of the FRAUD and reform TORT LAW - we’ll then have more capacity. NO ONE IS TURNED AWAY FROM THE ER!

From DRUDGE
‘End-of-life’ provision to be dropped from bill...

NYT: ‘Stubborn and false rumor that Obama’s health care plan will create ‘death panels’’...

How nuts is this...?
You cannot take something “out” that was never “in”.

CNN is so stupid. Either the death panel clauses were in the bill or they weren’t. To have a poll on what people believe is completely irrelevant in this instance.

Here’s an idea for the idiots at CNN: Read the bill and report the truth! Lazy 0bama-fellating MFers.

ACTUALLY, THEY’LL ACHIEVE their coercive, tyrannical gestapo aims with the health care industry

REGARDLESS

of what laws are passed and regardless of what the laws say.

They have demonstrated that they consider themselves to be and can INCREASINGLY successfully act above and beyond the law for at least 100 years.

Read

“By Trust Betrayed:Patients, Physicians and the License to Kill in the Third Reich” Hugh Gallagher, 1995..(Mr Gallagher was a polio paretic)

We are approaching the financial imperative similar to what created Nazi Germany out of the ashes of the Weimar Republic’s financial disasters....the picture then was so ugly..the average German refused to believe the intent and content of their leadership..their “intentions” were so good for the Nation.
