I've been in graphic arts my entire professional life, have been in sales, service, training and installation for Scitex (based in Herzlia, Israel,bought out by Kodak), was involved with the very first RIPs (raster image processors) in the industry, and know graphic file formats like the back of my hand, for both lithographic and electronic print, and electronic media. Somebody ELSE doesn't, though, only possessing the knowledge of a very low-level website employee.
What has all this so-called “analysis” gained anyone but Obama? It's gained him a lot of time, a lot of smokescreen and a lot of discrediting of the one online presence with the resources to get to the bottom of his ineligibility, prior to his taking office.
Everybody wanted to relive the glory days of Rathergate, our opposition knew it, and they took very thorough advantage of it, and are still taking advantage of it.
That JPEG of a photo of a scan of whatever the heck it was ... why on earth does anybody or did anybody think that goofy, faux “investigative” methods on the flippin’ JPEG of all things, proved anything? It didn't, and it doesn't.
If you still don't or won't understand, look at the gigantic kerfluffle FReepers Swordmaker and Salamander are STILL trying to tamp down, due to having converted an image from PNG to JPEG and sharpening the image, on the purported “Kenyan birth certificate.”
“Ron Polarik” was a laughingstock before he ever popped his head up on FR, and remained a laughingstock everywhere BUT here.
Good riddance.

Told you. Back in 08, I told you. Got called a troll and an “Obot” and put in a ludicrous “little black book” for trying to point out that this guy was shady, known to be shady, a laughingstock elsewhere ... but no.
***All you had to do was generate an analysis that showed Polarik didn’t know what he was talking about, point by point. Did you?

***You still prefer it to be your word against his rather than your analysis against his. You have NO analysis and he at least had something. Since you had the KNOWLEDGE to unlock this mystery and DIDN’T do it, the responsibility is on YOU, not us. We do what we can with what we have, and you did not equip other freepers in this battle, assuming what you say is true.
By the way, it appears that I was removed from the ping list and didn’t receive Polarik’s pre-thrust at Danae. LucyT seems to have felt that I wasn’t showing Polarik enough respect, and has told me that she won’t be responding to my freepmails.
All I’ve ever been interested in is the truth, even if the truth is that Obama’s original CoLB on fightthesmears was reliable. In fact, for several months after he posted that JPEG on his website, I thought it was a done deal and he was qualified. It was analysis done by Polarik (as far as I know) and Israel Insider that opened up this thing. It seemed compelling at the time and it still seems compelling. But there is other evidence now that we must consider.
One other hard point in this mystery is that Polarik’s analysis was submitted to the court in the Berg vs. Obama case. There’s an affidavit from the forensic examiner who declared the Bush TANG documents to be forgeries, that same examiner said that Polarik’s analysis was compelling also. So if Polarik has been pulling our chain this whole time, he got the pros yanked big time. I doubt that’s the case.
What I think is the case is that Polarik is getting death threats, family pressure, and other stuff. He decided to give it a rest and the timing is bad, that’s all. Maybe he lied about his background, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal as long as he could explain himself. But he won’t be doing that, so the opposition has all the ammo they need to wipe out our position.
Your FR personal page sure is a mess, graphically speaking, for someone who’s been in graphic arts all their professional life.
