THAT picture just about does me in, yorkie. And after reading that poem again with today’s opening I was already feeling sad. It had been awhile since I read the poem - see, the calf has grown up by now. :)
That is why I posted the poem “Life” by Emily Bronte’s sister, in #1769, Billie. Courage and Hope overshadow trials in our lives.
Well. Yeah. She may have grown up but she still had issues because she didn't understand that her mother died. She thought that her mother had just gone out bull dozing and left her all alone. Like the little boy in the sad song she was bleating: "please mommy please stay home with me" and, although she didn't die like the little boy in the sad song, she was left emotionally scarred and she would break down and cry every time she heard Eddie Arnold sing the Cattle Call.
It did me too, the poem had already brought me to tears....I was ready to shed tears I think and that started it.
