1) The military itself reported the crash to the world media as genuine, and 2) The day after the initial public release of the story, higher military authority changed that story, claiming that the wreckage recovered was in fact a weather balloon array, mistaken for alien material by the Roswell air field personnel.

3. The author has never worked with the military, the government nor any other huge bureaucracy.....

Also if it was just a weather balloon, why cover it up and force Marcel to pose with obvious cellophane an sticks.

The one fact about the people at Roswell AAF base was that it housed the only bomber group in the world that had dropped an atomic bomb, and the only group still , at that time, trained and equipped to do so. That would speak to the training, experience, and quality of the unit's personnel.

Still that does not provide proof. If anything it goes in the opposite direction. In the run up to dropping the bomb, the 509th had had to deal with leaks, security risks, and curious snoops. They developed both security measures and disinformation techniques. They would never have simply released details about a flying saucer. The level of classification would have been extraordinary. But they may have created a disinformation to cover something else, like the high altitude baloons being deployed to observe Soviet atomic tests.

I’d love it if there were spacecraft from other worlds coming to earth for a visit. My problem is that, with thousands of reported sightings and indirect evidence, there’s no concrete proof of anything alien.

Also, I’m skeptical because if there was one visit, say, the Roswell incident, by aliens, why the heck haven’t they come back for another visit?
