SALT LAKE CITY -- Armed assailants attack and rob a Latter-day Saint Apostle, his wife and two other couples in the African nation of Mozambique. Elder Russell M. Nelson and his wife, Wendy, were on a Church assignment when the incident happened.

According to Church spokesman Scott Trotter, the wife of the mission President Blair Packard suffered a broken arm. She and others also have cuts and bruises.

Elder William and Sister Shanna Parmley of the Africa Southeast Area Presidency. Elder and Sister Nelson traveled to Mozambique for these weekend meetings with Church leaders there; Elder William and Sister Shanna Parmley of the Africa Southeast Area Presidency, and Pres. Blair and Sister Cindy Packard; he is the President of the Mozambique Maputo Mission.

The country is located in the southeastern part of the African continent on the Indian Ocean; Maputo is the Capitol.

Pres. Blair and Sister Cindy Packard; he is the President of the Mozambique Maputo Mission. The Church Statement says: "On Friday evening they were having dinner together in the mission president's home when armed assailants entered the home and robbed them. We don't have complete information yet, but we understand that Sister Packard's arm was broken. In addition, she and others suffered some superficial injuries, mainly cuts and bruises. Elder and Sister Nelson will continue their assignment over the weekend as planned."

The Church statement also includes information that authorities in that city are investigating the matter.

Former missionaries to Mozambique who we talked with Saturday tell us that they were warned to always be cautious and told about the dangers of life in that African nation.

Dear reaganaut, I’ve had more hatred spewed at me here on FR than anywhere else in my entire life, and I was a uniformed policeman for five years. Your protester brethren are keen haters with lots of anger. Some of them are psychotic.

I cannot get him into the tank for anything. So I am going to try to outlive him

So, are you going to be proxy for him? Outlive him so that he will be baptized mormon, even though you know full well it is against his wishes?

I'm not surprised if that is so. I wonder if Christ would approve.

Who knows what today's revelation is, but hey, you to can role play being LDS and just make it up like they do.

Heck you can pretend to be on of the quorum of 12 and make it all important and stuff...

Russell M. Nelson, Now An Eternal Polygamist

Russell M. Nelson, an apostle of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon) recently signed "A Letter from America's Religious Leaders in Defense of Marriage" demanding that the Constitution of the United States of America be amended to ban legalized same-sex marriage and define marriage "as the exclusive union of one man and one woman."

Just days after signing this letter, in April 2006 the widower Russell M. Nelson was married "for time and all eternity" to Wendy Lee Watson in the Salt Lake Mormon Temple. However, since Nelson also married his now-deceased first wife, Dantzel White, "for time and all eternity" in a Mormon Temple, this now makes him an eternal polygamist, celestially "sealed" to both women forever, in accordance with Mormon doctrine and practice. Nelson's actions and beliefs in being married to two women for eternity belie the letter he signed defining marriage as being exclusively between "one man and one woman", and his name should be removed from the Religious Coalition's letter immediately.

So what else is new from the lips of mormon leaders?
