He chooses Donna Summer's "She Works Hard For The Money"
He tries to "make it his own" by playing acoustic guitar with a guy playing bongos.
Not bad.
There's some confusion--Randy wants to go first, but Kara ignores him and starts the comments.
Kara: You took a real risk with that arrangement and it paid off big time. It actually sounded like it could go on your record. Have to give you props.
Paula: Sounded like classic Santana. (She rambles on about Kris shopping in the womens' department)
Simon: (laughing) I actually need a translator on this show. (to Paula) Are you saying he buys ladies' underwear? (To Kris) I'm sorry, I have no idea what she's saying. That was a complete polar opposite to the first performance. Original, well thought out.
Randy: We've look for the best undiscovered talent. This proves that you are ready for the big time. Amazing!
Hehehe... pushy *****
Since I was typing about Lil, Kris got lost in the typing...he was background music,LOL!
But I could tell he did well cause I caught Simon’s response.
I've dug him the last several weeks. He's edging into my Adam/Danny/Allison trifecta!
And I don't just like him cause he's adorable! I really like his 'groove'.
Anybody who can take a song like that and arrangement it like Chris did is PRIMO in my book. I didn't think this kid had much talent at first, but his "Ain't No Sunshine..." and "She Works Hard For The Money" proves he has great song writing and arranging talent. (I hope he arranged both songs and not just the band.)
Chris should win on this aspect of the contest alone! I know it's a "Singing" contest and he's not the "BEST" singer, but I would actually buy his stuff just to see what he can do before any of the others.
At this point in the contest he's Whole Package material.
RK, LOVE is a strong word....;-)
