Being a Raiders fan, I don’t really have a dog in this fight, but anyhoo....
The Cardinals have been utterly amazing this year. Whether or not they win the Superbowl, Kurt Warner has proven to everyone who wrote him off that he does in fact belong in the league. That said, they will be up against one of the strongest defenses in the NFL, and Superbowls often come down to who has the better defense.
Meanwhile, on the Steelers’ offense, Roethlisberger continues his usual patter of either pulling off big plays or getting knocked on his butt.
I think it’ll be close, but I’m picking the Steelers, mostly on the basis of that stellar defense.

Perdogg...an arrow thru my heart!?!?! You are picking the Cards. Heavy sigh...
Have you been watching the ESPN coverage? This going to be a Stiller homegame...they can't find a Cardinal fan to put on air (yesterday they found, for guest commentator Donovan McNab, Eagles fans in Tampa...but COULD NOT FIND A RED JERSEY). Anywhere.
So, white shirts notwithstanding...the crowd is an 80/20 split for the beloved Black and Gold (yunzers travel well).
Now, I had to do this on another thread...the Burgh bashing is getting old. The Bamster was a teen during the Steel Curtain era...of course he followed the Stillerz...alot of our generation did, and for Barry, even a stopped clock is right twice a day; Jack Murtha does not represent Pittsburgh in the US Congress...he represents Johnstown, PA...folks get a map and a clue; Dan Rooney is the lib Rooney Brother; he has other conservative brothers who were/and still are to an extent owners of the team; and there are Christian, faith filled players on the Black and Gold as well.
There...I feel better...don't make snap my Terrible Towel...
Steelers 35 Cards 10.

I predict a really close game, and the Cardinals win by 1 point.
ReneeLynn, there is no such thing as “anything-derangement-syndrome in football!” Some of us have been hatin’ on other teams for years and years, it’s part of the enjoyment of football season to trash talk other teams and other team’s supporters.

This is a tough one to predict for me .Defense wins Championships, the Steelers are the best this year and an all around solid team.If I was forced to put money down I would take the Steelers straight up—
I would take the Cards and the 7 points.
The Cardinals are an amazing story, especially the past month. We all watched them get destroyed 47-7 by the Patriots on December 21 and laughed that they were a playoff team.
They put it all together and are on a remarkable run—do they finish it off with the seemingly unthinkable Super Bowl win or go down in flames on Sunday?
The one thing that is going to be a big factor is that the Cardinals Head Coach was with the Steelers two years ago and has a real strong grasp on the Steelers style and play-calling, schemes, tricks, ect.. This may prove to be the difference—inside knowledge of the whole scheme and strategy, tendencies, audibles,formations,ect....
I would love to see the Cardinals finish the Cinderella story but deep down think the Steelers will win—
Well, I guess I need to make a pick, so here goes-—
Arizona 27
Pittsburgh 23

Cardinals 24 - Steelers 20

Arizona 2 Steelers 0. IT will be a boring Super Bowl with the Cardinals getting a safety and that is it.
To: Perdogg
Prediction? The Steelers will be tackling with their helmets not their arms.

Steelers 27, Cardinals 20. Mostly because Steelers RB Willie Parker finally gets going by the fourth quarter and scores the winning TD in the last four minutes of the game.

I am more of a Steelers fan but am rooting for Kurt on this one. I think it will be 24-16, Cards. For once I can say that I will not be disappointed no matter who wins.
