This page was forwarded from a friend. It seems pretty balanced non-partisan even though conservative issues are not well represented. I like the idea of people uniting across right/left sides to work on common issues that concern us.

Before the election I talked with several liberal friends and they were afraid of conservatives trying to eliminate freedoms that were a part of their daily lives. Liberal people spreading fear. We had similar fears generated on the conservative side. The fear of gun control has sent the price of guns and ammo through the roof.

Both sides are given unreasonable fears so we will fight against the "evil" we see on the other side. What if the other side isn't "evil" and isn't trying to take our rights. In my opinion this is the result of the two party system which gives power to the leaders of two parties and they will do anything to keep their powers. Their focus is on enriching themselves and generating more power. These are elected officials and party officials.

It is time for "We the people" to be involved in saving our country.

I welcome your input.

Liberals are trying to take our rights.

The Sheep have spoken, and they are Leftists and want Socialist Pie. Now.

You cannot reason nor talk with them. I gave up trying months ago.

We don't have any common issues. We want to win, they want to surrender. We want to be free, they want to be adolecents forever. We want to live, they want to be fed. We love the truth, they do nothing but lie to themselves and everyone else. We want healthy, normal families, they want to murder infants.

Not an inch of common ground. No compromise. No bi-partisan anything.

War, until we win.

I never use the words “liberal” and “friends” in the same sentence and I refuse to associate with domestic enemies or useful idiots.

“Both sides are given unreasonable fears so we will fight against the ‘evil’ we see on the other side. What if the other side isn’t ‘evil’ and isn’t trying to take our rights.”

Rest assured, each side is trying to take things from people. That’s what governments do.

In my opinion, partisan arguments across the divide are tedious. Much better to have ideological duels or philosophical debate. Talking about Bush and Obama, on the other hand, bores the heck out of me.

What are a few of those “common issues” that they want to work on? I couldn’t find them, so I’m unsure what it is they want to accomplish in the way of bottom-line outcome.

i, for one, won’t do anything to help liberals obtain any measure of success during the next four years.

i will treat them and their fantasy usurper with the same level of ‘respect’ and ‘dignity’ they afforded GWBush for the last 8 years.

in short, screw them.

Nonpartisan? Puleeze. The image on the frontpage is from an Obama rally with Hope and Change signs. A moderately subtle Obot site.

This site is founded by Norman Lear. Why do you think conservative issues are not well represented?

No thanks!

People For The American Way- isn’t that Mr. Lear’s organization? If so then this thing is a portal for far left activism, no matter what the “balance” looks like.

“I like the idea of people uniting across right/left sides to work on common issues that concern us.”

Except that my philosophy on government and their philosophy on government are diametrically opposed. My view is that the overwhelming majority of problems cannot and should not be solved by government, thus as soon as I decide to work with anyone on the other side of the aisle I have already capitulated on my core principle.

As soon as I saw the ad for People for the American Way I knew I was in enemy territory.
