The travel elements of your tale... they really booked you for an overnight stay???? Then again, similar things show up when I try to arrange international travel outside of what's normal and what may be available -- such as an evening departure from Europe to home; one would sit around sometimes a half-day or more in some airport somewhere.
Yep...they DID book me for an overnight stay at Memphis, with nary a sign of hotel room.
I spent 12 hours at Heathrow on my way to Pak, but 23 on my way home. That’s the only time I can ever recall having problems with anyone. Customs at Heathrow really didn’t want me in the country if I couldn’t pay taxi fare to a spendy nearby hotel.
I told them I’d be more than happy to, if they would like to pay for my pleasure!
