Last owl I saw at home I don't know what the heck it was. I was sitting on the front steps near dusk. The birds had gotten quiet and there was just the sound of a slight breeze when it instantly got very dark. Looking up I was shocked to see a huge dark mass with a wingspan of five feet easy.

If it weren't roundish I'd have sworn it was a plane going down with its engines out it was so quiet!

The owl or owls that we’ve seen around here are not very large, but still fun to see one. The first one was actually sitting on a fence post, instead of a in tree, and that’s what startled me, because it just sat there, not moving for the longest time! :)
