From what I can see, horses generally like beer. I think human&horse pubs would be popular in some places here.

"Dang, this beer tastes like horse pi**"
"Where did you get it from?"
"That bucket over there on the floor..."

Our late and greatly missed Golden Retriever, Prior Lake Jake liked nothing more than an early winter morning walk out on the ice to check out what the ice fishermen were catching and quaffing.
He never cared much for schnapps but would drink one or two 12 oz beers if the can was poured slowly. By the end of the second beer, a series of nose bubbles and sneezes would signal it was time for a return home to a good morning nap.

I grew up next to a family of duck hunters that always had a labrador retriever or two. The father of the family liked Stroh’s beer, and always kept a case of long-neck Stroh’s in the basement. They had to be very vigilant in keeping the case of beer out of reach of one of their retrievers, who would, if he found a case on the floor, remove bottles one at a time, drop them on the cement floor to break them, and lap up the beer.

We were having another couple over for dinner and I got a half dozen 3/4 pound trout from the store. They were perfect, never frozen, cleaned with heads on. I planned to do them on charcoal and had them on a platter while the charcoal lit in its little chimney.
I stepped inside for a beer and returned in 30 seconds to find there were now five trout.
Jake had gotten up and snatched one of the fish and inhaled it, whole. He had this angelic look on his muzzle, as if to ask, "who me...?"
