Hoo Wee now thats a wild yarn... Gold, Silver, Diamonds and other precious material raining down from the sky?.. Now thats a tempting mental image.. Looking out of a cave Watching precious comodities falling out of the sky.. is a bodacious image.. Of course they would be more or less worthless then.. but it is quite a tale.. Getting brained by a Gold nugget.. or ICE that don't MELT...

Sounds like a MOVIE..

I would have loved to seen the reaction of Algore’s ancestors when this comet shattered. I’ll bet there was a lot of finger pointing and shouting of, “See! See what you’ve done!” LOL!

Actually an object that big would be more like a million Tunguskas, and would leave a crater about 100 kilometers across. So yes, there might be a ton of diamonds among all that ejecta, but it wouldn't matter much since the human race probably wouldn't survive such an event. If this malarkey gets into a more reputable science channel, that will be troubling.
