most excellent... truth be told, the accuracy excuse for handloading has pretty much evaporated... factory loads have improved light years...

We’re planning to take the pistols with us and take my siblings shooting again. The four it’ll do most good will be there... sister-we-armed probably hasn’t got any good instruction since we left her, sister-who-thinks-she-is-invincible could use another lesson and the brothers are at a very impressionable age... my poor mom hates us teaching them guns and arming them but that’s her loss.
I believe the Federal 168 gr load, when put in a plain brown box, is the current military "special match" ammo for sniper rifles.
Several years ago, I read an article in American Rifleman that says the Army discovered a considerable improvement in their match ammo by just switching bullets to Sierra Super Matchking over their own design. Didn't touch anything else about the load.
Oh, and I got around to ordering my Dewey coated cleaning rods and action guide. These types of weapons love the finest of everything.
