the DC example won’t werk with the gun-grabbers... they interpret as a need for more restrictions on law abiding citizens... madness...
all the numbers I’ve read agrees, more guns in the hands of law abiding citizens=less crime...
The Mayor of DC is already trying to spin it his way.
I’m signin’ off folks. We’re heading out as early as possible tomorrow morning. I’ll check in from thebeach when I can.
Hair, I’ll call with news from the pier.
g’nad and 2J - y’all take care of yerselves.
As fer thebeach...let the drinking begin...
Stay out of the water at dusk and dawn.
But you know that, right?
Take care of yerself mister Nad. We’re all prayin’ fer ya. :-)
Yeah, I’m thinking that maybe the thugs in DC will be less likely to kick down the door of a little old lady, if they’re not quite sure whether or not she’s waiting on the other side with a pistol with which to ventilate them . ;o)
Have a safe trip, and a FUN time at the beach!
We got our 9mm lead last night so we swapped out the 45 with the quick change kit, and got the 9 set up. I made 11 bullets to test at the range today then we can go assembly style.
The guy who runs our favorite gun shop gave Talon two little buckets of 45 brass so he is set for a long long time.
sweet... itsuh good call loading just a few tuh make sure you've got the right seating depth and crimp... made the mistake when I first started of loading 500 rds that "looked" good, but didn't chamber...
I love our location, because I can load up a mags werth, take 8 steps to the door and rip'em off to see if they are correct...
The guy who runs our favorite gun shop gave Talon two little buckets of 45 brass
yup... yer turnin'intuh brass rats... what size buckets?... you may be thru 'em sooner than you think...
let us know how it went!
woohoo!!!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... ventilate...
thanks fer the prayers Suzi... you certainly have mine...
mrsnads got the nadlings over in the next county for the district swimm meet... theboy qualified in at least three events, thegirl at least one.
so I’muh putzin’... between the gut ache and headache/bodyache/general crappiness, don’t think I’ll get much done that requires precision or attention to detail...which means no shootin’, loadin’, gunsmithin’, or tractor werk...
think I’ll watch themovie...
aw wth... funklemeister...
Feeling crappy is as good an excuse as any to watch themovies. ;o)
It’s a bit drippy here this morning so it looks like I’m stuck with housewerk.
At least the squirrels are getting wet.
Took a slightly longer walk than planned this morning...I had to detour around all the sidewalk pouring that’s going on.
So I’ve got my stimulus rebate check in my hot little hands. What would screw the government more? Guns and ammo or Roth IRA contribution?
Afternoon ALL -
Testing firing a small lot is always a good idea. Checking overall length is important too. There is a lot a variables to keep track of when you’re reloading. But it is relaxing and great way to save money.
Good idea on the movie. There will be other weekends for reloading, gunsmithing, and tractoring. hmm. Is tractoring a word, well, if it isn’t it should be.
Hope the swim meet goes well for the young ‘uns. Just got back from the dump, short line and less than five bucks to dump the load I had. Very reasonable.
The accuracy of your new EBR is really quite remarkable. I had no idea you get level of accuracy out of an EBR. You using the 69 grain bthp in it?
Guns and ammo. Liberals don't feel threatened by IRAs, and still have plans on "investing" the money for you.
