Well, good luck with your dentist search. My husband uses the conscious sedation method to have any dental work done. Our dentist does that and he is very good and gentle. For me it doesn't matter. Novocaine works fine for me. I don't have a problem with going to the dentist, I just hate to go because it is costing a small fortune. We don't have dental insurance and these dental bills are killing me. My dentist is very good at what he does and his prices reflect that. LOL.

One of my best friends has already paid her dentist over $10,000 for bridge work. It didn’t fit, and now she has to get MORE work done, and he’s still CHARGING her!! Now it’s another $750 for this past week! She is beside herself! They don’t have any money to spare, and I think he is ripping her off royally! She is beside herself, and I don’t blame her.

I checked into going under general anesthesia, to get it all done while I’m asleep. Turns out, after a complete physical, blood work, x-rays, and paying for the anesthesiologist, a doctor on call, two dentists and two nurses, plus the room and equipment - it would cost over $60,000 - even if I only had ONE cavity!

So, I’m not getting anywhere. I sure can’t afford dental work - even with just novicaine.
