In 2003, when I started Amy’s Place the first time, I used alot of her poetry.

She is so easy to read and her midi-music is pleasant to listen to.

I don’t know why I can’t turn the music off. I closed her page. She is haunting me. ; ^ )

When I wanted to leave, I just used the arrow button at top of page and it took me back to Amy’s and music was gone. Did you get it turned off?

Thanks, I book-marked Penny’s Page but the first one was so large for my screen and I couldn’t make it any smaller. It was so large I had to scroll back and forth at the bottom from side to side. Why is that? I am not very computer savvy when it comes to that!!

I finally found that I had several tabs opened. When I closed the tabs, I got the music turned off. : )

I liked the site, but couldn’t get the music to shut off, either. I finally had to shut down Internet Explorer, and open it up again, to stop the music.

It was purty, though. ;-)

About those links, Amy. I didn’t have that problem of it being so big - so don’t know what to tell ya. Sorry.

What did I do before the internet?!

Well, I know I got a heck of a lot more things done before the internet. But I know I wasn't half as smart before Google. So, I figure it's a push. ;-)

At least I sit still now. :) Before, about the only time I was still was when I was reading.

I sprinkled clothes a week ago and now my iron is lost!

LOL. I wonder how many people under 50 know what "sprinkling clothes" is all about? My mom used to do it years ago when I was a little girl. Now people hardly iron anything anymore, let alone sprinkle their clothes. I have never done it. I wonder if you can even get those sprinklers with the cork in them that fit in a Coke bottle?

I have one right under my kitchen sink....its old! Then I bought a sprinkler for clothes from Tupperware (when we had those parties). I have often wondered if my kids would know what they were if I died.

I use the steam iron when I have to!!

Me too. But, generally speaking, I avoid ironing like the plague. I have an Irish cutwork linen tablecloth and napkins that I never use because I dread having to iron them again. It's such a shame that they just sit in the linen closet. :-(

It's interesting that you've got one of those sprinkler thingies. It's probably an antique and would be worth quite a bit on eBay.

Here is a sprinkler like I remember. It's on eBay for only $5 (with $10 shipping). No bids yet. Guess you aren't going to make a fortune selling your old clothes sprinkler, jaycee, unless it's one of those unusual old ceramic figurine sprinklers. LOL

Heck .... when I’m forced to iron anything, I use spray starch.

I haven’t sprinkled clothes for 40 years. When I did, I would often have to do a rewash because they would start to smell funny.

: ^ )

Hmmmmmmm..........maybe that is why my mom used to roll up the clothes and put them in the refrigerator.....that way they didn't smell. LOL.

Thank goodness for permanent press!

I pulled the sprinkler bottle out and it was the cork bottom and metal top with the holes in it.(kinda aluminum looking) The bottle that I used was that tall coke bottle (16 oz.) Guess my riches will have come some other way~~LOL~~

The bottle you’re showing...what is that top made of...it looks dark pinkish! Is it plastic? Wonder what if a Walmart employee was asked for a sprinkler top to fit a bottle.

LOL

If the Walmart employee was at least 60, they may at least know what you are talking about. :)

Amy, Thank you for your Beautiful Post to me in #324! I was just Reading the Comments about Sprinkling Clothes, and I Remember Watching my Momma do that when I was a Little Girl; I had Forgotten All about it! I’ve Never Sprinkled Clothes, and Never Iron, because the Clothes are Nice and Wrinkle-Free as Long as I Remove them from the Dryer Quickly. (I’d Rather be Freeping than Ironing, that’s for Sure!!)

As much as I hate to iron, I am forced to iron some of Marissa’s clothes.

When I buy anything for myself, if it is not permanent press, I don’t buy it.

When I was a young girl, I learned to iron by ironing pillow cases, hankies and tea towels.

I wonder if I should have PrissyMissy start ironing pillow cases. : ^ )
