I make it almost every time I have to bring a dessert somewhere. (It only takes five minutes to put it together.) I always bring home an empty pan.

BTW - I do like to cut the peaches up a little bit, before putting them on the batter.

You do use sliced peaches, don’t you? When you say large, is that what I call a fat can, not the regular smaller can?

LOL! Yes, the ‘fat’ can. I think it’s about 29 oz. size. (I’m out of them, or I would tell you for sure.)

Yes, I do use sliced peaches. My daughter doesn’t cut hers up - but I usually cut the slices in half.

If you don’t have the big cans, use two small cans (and juice) and two more small cans without juice.

The original recipe only called for one large can with juice. But it is MUCH better with more peaches. (That is why I drain the second can.)

I melt the butter first also, and then add the brown sugar (I measure though), then I use some crushed pineapple, drained, then the slices. I put a marachino cherry in each pineapple slice and then cut some cherries in half and place them around and then I add my batter! I am hungry right now and this is killing me....talking about all these desserts!

Sorry I haven't been able to be around much. I've had my grandson with me this week, been trying to keep him busy.

My camera is about to die on me, yesterday I tried to photograph my lilacs and got nothing but flickering green and pink squiggly lines on the image screen. Today, I turned on the camera and it seems to be working fine. This is the photo I was trying to take yesterday. I see that it is "flower day" today, so here is my contribution. :-)

Also tried to get a shot of one of the jays that I've been hand feeding peanuts since he was a fledgling. He is very tame, but the camera scares him, so.....no photos of the jay today. He is acting kind of weird anyway because he and the Mrs. are nest building somewhere nearby. He is not inclined to pose for photos. LOL

I may not be able to get back in here for awhile, so I am going to take this opportunity to wish everyone a blessed Easter and a beautiful springtime.

I am so happy to hear that you are going to be getting a new kitten! Be sure to have Grandma Amy take some photos so we can all see her. I bet she is just the cutest kitten ever. :-)

Oh, what a beautiful picture of the lilacs! What kind of camera do you use? I want to get one that will take pictures like that!!

Thank you for sharing, and I hope you have enjoyed the little one, this week.

oh dear, this isn’t your relatively new camera is it? That is what happened to my last GOOD camera.. the pix were pure crap.. totally unusable & the Ispection for repair was 250 ... that is NOT doing anyting, just seeing what is wrong. Heart surgeons charge less for initial interviews.

this pix is lovely., I would show you pix of my lilac plant but right now it is buried in snow (and 3-6 more inches coming tonight)

The camera I am using now is a Fuji FinePix A310. It has been a great camera but is about four years old and about to give out on me. My husband has done some research on digital "point and shoots" for me and has settled on the Canon PowerShot A720 IS. He will be ordering one for me this week. I have been reading the reviews on this camera and they are pretty good for the price. eBay has some new ones listed for a little under $200. I especially like to do close-up photographs and the Canon PowerShot will handle close-ups well, according to what I have read.

I hate having to learn a new camera and I love my Fuji FinePix, but it is not reliable anymore. It is not worth getting it repaired, so I think it is time to get a new camera.

Those are lovely lilacs, yorkie! They look a little different than mine, which my mom tells me are not like “back east” lilacs. My lilac is called a “Persian Lilac” and is thriving in the central California valley. It has grown to about 12 feet tall and about as wide. I sure wish the blossoms would last a little longer. In a week they will probably all be gone. :-(

Thanks, MB! Do you by any chance know what the Zoom power is on the canon power shot? Don’t bother if you don’t know - as I will look into it, totally!

I would LOVE to take close-up shots like that!

I had a bob-cat looking in my sliding doors a few weeks back. The pictures I took were barely recognizable.

No, my new camera is one of my husband's professional cameras - a Fuji S2 Pro, which I haven't even begun to learn to use yet. (He is NOT very happy about that, since I asked for it and then left it setting in the camera bag untouched.) :-(

The camera that I use most is my little Fuji FinePix A310 (point and shoot). It has done a great job for me, but I don't think these cameras are made to last a long time and it is just not cost effective to repair them. Jk has done a bit a research and decided that a Canon PowerShot A720 will be a good replacement for my dying Fuji A310.

I just can't believe what a long, cold, snowy winter you've had. You certainly have my sympathy. I doubt I would survive and Ohio winter.

I have one of those smaller fujis.. It is good for outdoor & CLOSE flash inside.. I rarely use mine as I use the “better” version mostly & use the manual settings.

Hi, Lori.

Beautiful lilacs. Thank you for sharing them on Flower Day.

I have a Fuji FinePix A345. It takes good pictures; my problem is with the photographer. : ^ )

We pick up the Cat between 2:00 and 4:00 today. They didn’t have many kittens but it surprised me that Marissa picked an adult cat. I tried to get her to look at the younger cats but no way!!! Her mind was made up. She said he was the one because he was so lovable,

I’m sure you will be surprised when I get some pictures taken. I wanted a cute, playful kitten for her. OH Well, it is her cat.

Here is one of the eBay listings....Click Here that should answer most of your questions about this camera.

That is so disappointing that your bobcat photos didn't turn out. I hope you are able to get a new digital camera, and that I have directed you to a good one. All I know about cameras is what my husband tells me. He is a professional photographer, but, of course, he uses professional equipment and isn't really checked out on the armature camera market. Still, I trust his judgment when it comes to all things having to do with photography. :-)

*sigh*.....that's what jk wants me to do, but I just haven't been motivated to learn how to operate the S2 Pro. Someday, I will learn how to use it and I'll be taking some awesome photos............ unless he gets fed up with my lack of interest and takes the camera back down to the studio and I never see it again. LOL
