Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Heh, well, we only had to be there for four hours. We spent twice that driving there and back!
Ick.
I’ve been on road trips much longer than that, but they were all for good purposes.
Hey, I get tomorrow off as a comp day and we learned some important stuff so it’s all good. And we went there and back in one day.
Mornin’.
Is it Caturday yet?
I'll stand in agreement with you! Got it written on my calendar.
Bear, that’s great about the weight-loss...likely it won’t make the diabetes go away but will make it easier to control...best wishes, my FRiend!
And congrats on the promotion!
I take 20mg once a day right now...if my bp continues to climb, I’m to up it to twice a day.
So I take Lopressor 100mg, twice a day, Lisinopril 20mg once a day and a Catapres patch (the smallest one) once a week. I can’t go up on the patch, because it slows down your heart rate and my heart rate is hitting 54...can’t let it go any lower.
Here’s an optimistic note. I told him I didn’t think the Lopressor was doing any good...that it never seemed to, so he said to give the Lisinopril time to kick in (a couple of weeks) then start weaning off the Lopressor and see if I can get off it.
Even if my bp goes up a bit, well...so will my pulse and I might be able to get off the Lopressor and go up a size on the patch.
I prefer the patch because I can just slap it on my arm (or currently it’s on my back shoulder area) and forget about it...
thank you, dear ladies... I will continue to lift you both...
I remember going through all of this with my grandmother. So many years ago.
~sigh~
Well, I’m off. Matthew’s youth choir at TCDTS is going to Yellowstone this coming May...singing at various homes for troubled youth along the way. They’re selling Hebert candy bars as a fundraiser. I arranged for us to sit out in front of Walmart from 10am to 4pm today trying to sell these candy bars!!!
Matthew’s not going on the trip though...he’s too young. If he’d gone to public school, we woulda held him back and he’d only be in the sixth grade...because of when his birthday fell. As it is, he’s a very young seventh grader.
Although lately, when he walks through the house, it’s a bit startling...he’s suddenly as tall as me and I hardly recognize him!
Job: WOOHOO!!!
Health: DOH!!!
yer in muh prayers... both WOOHOO!!! and DOH!!!
I'm with DA on this one...
I can handle almost anything for four hours.
Besides, all I had to do was keep saying “free day off Friday... free day off Friday” and things were better.
Perspective; it's a good thing. ;o)
Mmm...Friday off.
It’s pouring here.
But at least there’s no frost to scrape off the car.
We are hoping to go to the range tomorrow afternoon. Talon is only working a half day so if the weather’s good enough, we’ll go make holes in paper.
Mmm...holes in paper...
If the rain at least slows by tomorrow, I’m going to get the seats back into the van so it can be looked at on Saturday morning for an appraisal.
*snif*
As Dad pointed out, I’ve really gotten my money’s worth, and I should be OK with getting something more reliable. I paid 4500 for it to begin with, paid it off almost immediately, and really, for the most part it’s been pretty trouble free until fairly recently.
In any case, if it’s not too trivial and self-centered of me, I’d appreciate prayer that they give me a good number for it! I know I could probably sell it for more in a private sale, but there are so many little niggling things wrong that I think I’d feel wrong about that.
Izzit LOST yet?
Not trivial at all! You don't ask, you don't get! Prayers up!
He got three raises at once: the promotion came with a raise; he got a larger merit raise on top of that; and he got a third raise, just 'cause.
I've read his performance reviews. Customers and managers two or three levels up really like him!!!
I was sending out emails yesterday bragging on him!
Sunday is the day the rain will slow... depending on how long you need it to slow for. :~)
