Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

It’s PEE-can.
...and the squirrels get them all anyway.
Ohh, congrats! I hope it’ll be fun!
Hey Congratulations! New job is exciting. Good luck and stufflikethatthere.
Though, not working has its benefits too. Oh, well... :-)
I’m with Suziq on this one...
Back home the bagel shop used to have a “Southern Pecan” flavored coffee. Really good. I’d always ask for “pe-CAHN” coffee, and they’d correct me. “The PEE-can flavored coffee?”
That just sounds nasty.
Er...the answer to that would be “sometimes”...
I’m getting more organized.
WOOHOO!!!
mmmmmmmmmmm... money...
its funny... cuz it ain’t me...
There's still a difference in the way Suzi says it.
It's puh-cahn, not pe-cahn...but even that varies in the south. Nana would say pee-can.
I’m headin’ out the door here in just a minute. On my way to a conference in Virginia Beach. Not sure if I’ll be freepable tonight or not. Hotel ~says~ free wireless, but that don’t always mean it’s gonna werk.
I’ll be back in time fer LOST tomorrow night.
You guys pronouncin’ nuts?
Morning :~)
*snort*
Mornin’!
Now I’m sitting here saying it trying to figure how I do it...and I think I spelled the phonetical spelling wrong. ;-) I do say puh-CAHN.
Good morning...
So... are you going to buy a car today? :~)
No...
Just going to do more agitating about it.
I see...
Well, you let us know :~)
*sigh*
OK.
I’m just still afraid there’s some number I’ve missed in all my calculations.
I did figure that in the last four or five months, I’ve spent an average of three hundred bucks a month on the van - not gas, either.
And it needs brakes done in about another thousand miles.
So there’s that.
Just...wow. Very, very nice. Thanks for posting!
Must be a Carolina thang. I’ve said puh-CAHN all my life!
