The Hobbit Hole XXXV - ...is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

Posted on 01/03/2008 6:35:58 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!

O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.

O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.

O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

We had an afternoon meeting that ran long. I’m eating dinner now.

Going back on the diet thingie for awhile. We’ll see how that goes. I need to go shopping for more vegetables.

Thank you. Fortunately it's a slight cold, more annoying than anything. I should be over it in a couple of days.

Evening Ramius - in the FWIW category; a friend of mine at work said there is some LC brass being loaded with either SP or FMJ by others than Lake City. Like Winmag said, most of the new stuff uses a heavier bullet. The old 55 grain rounds have been around a while and will work, just not as good as the heavier ones in newer faster rifled barrels. I’d rather have Lake City than the other surplus/foreign makers but that’s me.

How is the Kimber - how does it handle with hollowpoints?

I was out at class. Jr. stayed home with Luke tonight and got him to bed.

‘Course when I got home from work Jr. said it was cold in the house. I had him check the temp and told him he could move it up one degree from 69 to 70.

When I got in, it was like an oven. Somewhere between 74-75.

It’s better now.

Prayers please.

Insurance wants to total the van. We’re not currently in a position to assume another car payment. So we need to figger this out.

Gotcha. What a headache. :-\

I forget, did they initially want to total Jr.’s car, too? Trying to remember how that all played out...
