**Ladies and Gentlemen...it's the FR College Football 2007-08 Bowl Games Thread**

Posted on 12/19/2007 1:19:19 PM PST by GOP_Raider

It's the most wonderful time of the year...With my Utes winning bowl games and BYU losing so I'll be of good cheer...it's the most wonderful time of the year...

--Ow! Tomatoes hurt you know. Sheesh...

During the regular season, I would normally do my fancy and mildly humorous graphical elements and those of you who would like me to feature their school's games, I would oblige. However, since we've got miles to go before we sleep, I'll re-ping the list as we go along and include said graphics. Sound like a deal? Excellent.

Tomorrow the fun will begin. (For me, at least). :)

I love the frame on the right hand side with the bearded guy pointing to the nose picker/eater. Ah, the things you can capture in 1/30th of a second. :)

I’m still amazed that the Mountain West not only got 5 teams in but is now 4-0. So many teams in the MWC have been so bad in bowl games in the past it’s surprising to me.

But check out the blond aggette in the row behind...she never looks up from checking out the split ends on her hair, even as everyone else changes position....

I’m reasonably certain there is a blond joke waiting to happen there. :)

Ya know if this girl I’m trying to get a second date with doesn’t pan out, I may have to see if there are any singles available in the Texas panhandle. Although judging from the previous pic, blondes may not be a good idea. ;)

She’s probably from Central Texas anyway. You’d do much better with one of the Red Raider gals from up here on the Llano Estacado. At least we all pay attention to the game.

The women’s basketball team is back to being number 1 after a few short years. Got to wonder if Coach Summett is regreting her decision to end the historic yearly battle of CT vs. TN.

What was Joe Pa’s funny point? Thanks for your response. He looks ageless!

How old IS Joe Paterno?

Here's his comment on the yell leader:

"I think everybody has to take things with a grain of salt," Paterno said. "Some young guy went up there, trying to be funny. Maybe he's accurate, I don't know."

"I honestly didn't hear it, and I don't particularly care about it. Sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never hurt you."

Summary Report: Bat_Chemist had a grest time at what was a very enjoyable game for those NOT rooting for UConn.

From early on, it looked like UConn had WF’s number, as the Deacs just couldn’t get anything going and the Huskies methodically trod out to a 10-0 lead. However, “slow and steady” gave way to “lets see what they’ve got, then we’ll adapt” and Wake Forest started making plays and scoring points without any adjustments from UConn that seemed to help. UConn won the first half and, without a doubt, the halftime show, as their band was really good!

I must say, I’m very hoarse today. And since the party started early, most of my pictures came out fuzzy...like my head was this morning!

The rain that UConn hoped would rain on Wake Forest came the day before, not a help for UConn in its sincere efforts to revenge the lost to them in 2006. Oh well.

Goes to show after watching the video that truly Joe Pa is “ageless” when it comes to great college football. :)

Ah, so that's what happens when you drink can after can of PBR. While I recover from my Pabst induced pounding headache, you can check out tonight's bowl matchup, which is...
The PetroSun Independence Bowl featuring Alabama and Colorado (8pm on ESPN Regular). The Independence Bowl gives Shreveport, Louisiana a distinction of being something other than a convenient place to pee and stretch your legs on your way to Dallas or New Orleans. But as for the game itself, the Buffs feature little Cody Hawkins at QB--or at least he was little when he played high school football around here--along with Tide QB John Parker Wilson. Both teams however are just tickled pink that the Independence Bowl was kind enough to invite them to a bowl. Enjoy the game tonight and if you'll excuse me I'll get some aspirin and something somewhat fragile to throw against the wall after the Raider game is over with.

fuzzy...like my head was this morning!

Is that the same sort of fuzziness that the PBR I drank did to my head last nite?

Well it isn’t strong so much as if you have close to a dozen of them it takes its toll. :(
