False positives are a legitimate concern. I'm in the military and take drug tests frequently. I haven't touched drugs in years but I'm always worried that someone is going to screw up my test and end my career.
I remember on the Mythbusters show they kept coming up with false positives when they ate poppyseeds.
How many people have you known that got hit with a positive? I’m not talking about “knowing someone who heard about...” I’m talking direct knowledge.
I’ve known several. Every one of them was using.
You have a point, if the drug-testing company is run like the Houston Crime Lab, I'd be really scared.
Texas just released a man after 17 yrs after a rape conviction with bad Crime Lab evidence.
Drew, the guy says “Just say a person did very little amount of cocaine about 1/4 of a gram and about 85 hours later took a drug test and came up positive, is it possible that if it is sent to a lab that tests using ms/gs for it to come up negative? And it came up alot positive for the stick test”
That wasn’t a hypothetical on his part.
He did the 1/4 gram and then came up pos.
