** “ After the death in 1996 of Howard Marshall, her husband, she experienced bouts of depression and had been admitted to Betty Ford Clinic. Three days after her son Daniel died in September 2006, Miss. Smith delivered a daughter by Cesarean section. Miss Smith developed a severe depression, which gradually decreased over time and was treated with anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs. Miss Smith was also under the stress of a number of lawsuits. “ **

I’m way behind on reading all the posts, but just had to respond to Perper’s Press Release, Mar 26, 07. If you’ll notice in the paragraph I’ve quoted above, there’s a reference to Anna being so depressed over Marshall’s death, which is probably stated for effect in the ongoing lawsuit. Then they go on to say Daniel died 3 days PRIOR to the birth of Dannielynn, which is CLEARLY WRONG!! I know I’m nitpicking, but couldn’t resist.

As I continued to read the press release, I was looking for the history of vomiting and diarrhea.

Day 1 - “In the evening she was given cough syrup but could not retain it and vomited. She then was given two table spoons of Chloral Hydrate (a sedative/sleeping medication) and went to sleep.”

Day 2 - “ She had no diarrhea, nausea or vomiting and was strong enough to walk across the hall.”

Day 3 - “She felt better, no abdominal pain, no diarrhea, but felt very tired.”

Day 4 - “According to Mr. Howard K. Stern, he woke up around 10 am and found Miss Smith awake, with no complaints, except for excessive tiredness.”

The condition of the room has bothered me, from first finding out about vomit in the bathroom sink, body fluids in the beds, towels thrown about the bathroom and etc. Since the only time vomit is mentioned in the Press Release, is Day ONE, why wasn’t the room cleaned up on Tuesday morning?? What kind of people would allow her to lie in that dirty bed and use a bathroom with vomit still in the sink??????

Also Day 4 says her ONLY complaint to Stern was excessive tiredness. Since all other doses of CH were given by one of Anna’s guards previously, why would Perper believe HKS when he said he didn’t give her the last dose of CH?? Perper had no business determining a manner of death, imho. If Perper’s report is accurate, it screams out for further investigation.

Perper should have questioned the CONDITION of the room, imho. Were they trying to downplay how sick Anna really was or what??? So many questions, but so few answers.

Also, I have a feeling both HKS and KE did not want suicide to be listed as the manner of death, do to possibly life insurance policies.

I doubt Stern sleep in that room or even used the bathroom, considering the mess. Greta must be going nuts trying to understand WHY Perper believed those who clearly had many reasons to mislead him. If they hadn’t been considered peers, I doubt he would have been so eager to take their word for the chain of events. The above when not quoted, is my opinion. ;)

Before I get into anything else, the first line says “After the death in 1996 of Howard Marshall, her husband, she experienced bouts of depression and had been admitted to Betty Ford Clinic. “

JHMII died in August 1995

ANS went to Betty Ford in Nov 1995

Who or what was “across the hall” for her to walk to? Were there even more “friends” of theirs in the hotel on Tuesday, staying across the hall from their suite?

Or does that mean she walked from her room to the guest room, through the living room/parlor space, as the “hall”? If this means she walked over to KE’s room within the same suite, (meaning walked from Room 607 to Room 609, but still within her own suite) then it is suspect, too.

I'm sure that Stern wasn't allowing anyone that room who could possibly talk to Anna, such as the maids. Basing this on the theory that she was being held hostage there because she wanted to call for help to get free from Stern.

Which is why i wonder about the phone situation. Did she have her cell phone? Did she make any calls from the phone in the room? I do remember a friend (well a woman who claimed she was her friend on CNN via phone just hours after Anna died) saying she spoke to Anna while she was in FLA and Anna told her that she wasn't allowed out of the room. That could be a statement by Anna that she was being held hostage or maybe she was so drugged she didn't know why she wasn't allowed out. Probably someone was standing over her listening to what she said to make sure she didn't say something wrong. But in that interview I remember distinctly that the "friend" said nothing about Anna being sick. In fact, she said that Anna was complaining that she wanted to go out.
