I didn't see The Village. He was good in Signs. I was disappointed he didn't get the award for WTL, I think in the eyes of the Academy it was too close after The Ray Charles Movie.
Some die hard M. Night Shamalan fans didn't like The Village cuz they thought it wasn't up to par with his previous movies. But i thought it was good. Not as good as Signs tho. Which wasn't as good as the "I see dead people" movie (what's it called?)
His movies are good because they aren't of that same tired old Hollywood formula.
