and....... the longer they delay they can claim the baby has bonded to HKS and ergo should remain with him no matter who the biological parent may be.
And of course, plenty of children are bonded with their parents (even bio parents) but are taken away because of abuse or unhealthy households. This wouldn't be a hard hurdle for Birkhead to jump.
