Katrina exposed the weakness in all of our major cities. I also know that too many people only think that New Orleans is the sin city and yes there is that aspect but the truth is most of the people letting go of all their inhibitions are tourists.
I know all about the decent, honest and hard working people of New Orleans. I've lived there. I live in the Lake Charles area and we went through Rita. It's a shame that none of the success stories ever make it to the news. People here haven't blamed Republicans or the POTUS. We may complain about FEMA but that's more about the red tape and stupid stuff typical of bureaucracy. The hard working people have simply been too busy recovering from the two storms.
Oh well, it isn't going to take away from this historical event in Louisiana history. ;) The Saints are one game away from the Superbowl. I hope the levees are set because they may fail again when the ground starts shaking from the celebrating. J/K
We are thrilled about the Saints winning and know it must be especially uplifting to Louisiana. Now on to Chicago and the Super Bowl!!!!
CC, don't let these negative posters, who persist in believing everything about Louisiana is bad, get to you.
I enjoy your posts and pings and we both know the good people there, so don't let these run you off here. I'd really miss you, and I'm sure many other freepers would.
