Could I start and go thru this season, yet still watch the previous seasons?

yes you can but only if you have Jack Bauer's ability to focus and the only person I know who comes close to having that ability is Chuck Norris. I did the same thing last winter starting with Season 4 which I rented piecemeal from Hollywood Video thinking it was Season 1.

Then I bought seasons 2, 3 then 4 and when I started watching season 4 I realized I had already seen it. So, this past week I ordered the real season 1 from Amazon.

Needless to say, 24 24/7 is really going to to mess you up and really screw up your weekend homelife if you can't convince your significant other of the importance of watching 24..........

Exactly right when you realize each season is 24 HOURS of viewing. We watched it together and stayed up all hrs of the night because we'd want to see "just one more episode."

LOL!!! When my husband and I first got into this show, we rented the dvds and sat there for an entire weekend just watching it, one episode after another. You can't stop!! So I'm happy he's just as addicted as I am. :)

My wife and I never watched the program the first five seasons. When season six started and the libs heads exploded when a nuke went off in L.A., that is when we got interested. We bought seasons 1 through 5 and started a couple months back with season 1. Very exciting and fast paced program but after awhile you catch some of the flaws - like the cell phone that works everywhere and in every condition. There is a comic book quality to it and at times it stretches a persons ability to believe in the program.

Season 1 was okay but I did not think Jack was all that great. Than in Season 2, IMO, is when they really let the real Jack out of the box, so to speak. We are now watching season 4 and it is the best season out of the first four. The scene where Edwin's mother realizes she cannot be rescued and sacrifices herself was extremely touching.

We tend to watch on weekends - Friday and Saturday nights. We try to catch 3-6 episodes but sometimes we only get in 1 or 2. It is difficult at times to turn it off because it leaves you hanging and you want to see what comes next.
